Mascoutah Athletic Commission Scholarship - Due April 19th, 2024
The Mascoutah Athletic Commission (The MAC) is pleased to announce two (2) $500 scholarships for graduating seniors from Mascoutah High School. The MAC was founded to provide financial and material support to youth sports in Mascoutah, Illinois. The MAC is awarding these scholarships to high school athletes who demonstrate hard work and perseverance in the classroom as well as the athletic/extracurricular arena, as well as a commitment to improving their community through volunteering and service.
Eligibility
• 4 years of participation in an IHSA-sanctioned sport or activity*
• At least two (2) Varsity Letters earned in an IHSA-sanctioned sport or activity (can be multiple letters in the same sport)
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Demonstrated community service, either individually or part of an organization (Scouts, church group, fraternal organization, etc.)

A 500-word essay on the importance of athletic/extracurricular participation and community service and how they have impacted your life

1 letter of recommendation from a coach/activity leader from one of your sports/activities
